Scope of Work
From c
oncept, planning and listed building consents through to working drawings including external works and internal detailing.

Grange Farm is located in South Derbyshire village of Linton, lying on the edge of the village outside the development boundary. The project offered a challenge in both terms of planning and design.

This involved converting redundant farm buildings within the grounds of a Grade II listed Farm House, into residential dwellings. With innovative design solutions and the expert knowledge of our associate planning consultant a planning approval was granted for ten new homes.

By working closely with both the client and Local Conservation Officer we achieved a contemporary scheme of desirable dwellings with attention to detail whilst retaining the agricultural appearance of the buildings.

Ironically parts of the building which offered the most challenging of constraints resulted in the most innovative and striking design solutions such as the Mediterranean style courtyard approached from a cloistered entrance giving access and amenity space to a number of dwellings.
