Urban Designs were commissioned to design 5 showstopper executive homes on land on the prestigious Chatsworth Road in Chesterfield. Inspiration was gained from the Arts and Crafts houses in the area. The use of traditional local materials, combined with inspirational style of the Arts and Crafts movement created a stunning design, to which we introduced a modern twist.

The front of the dwellings have traditional frontages, however the rear elevations have full height atrium windows to give an impressive double height space to dining areas. The use of the floor to ceiling atrium windows proved a big hit with prospective buyers with natural light flooding into the homes. A number of the designs also included balconies off master bedrooms to exploit the countryside views to the rear of the properties. Internal spaces were designed with an open plan arrangement, which could be adapted to a more cellular arrangement if required by purchasers. All properties were sold off plan prior to completion.
