Developer – New Build Apartments – Shirley, West Midlands
Urban Designs were commissioned to redesign a scheme after previous proposals were refused planning permission due to design issues.
Our vision was to create the appearance of a large country house, within which we continued the theme by introducing additional apartments designed in the style of a coach house. The success of the scheme was achieved by retaining the building’s visual mass, making use of space within deep roof pitches, and incorporating three-storey elements to break up long elevations.
