Developer – New Build Houses + Apartments – Lichfield, Staffordshire

The centrepiece of a large-scale development on the outskirts of Lichfield, Urban Designs were instructed to design this phase of the development, which included apartment blocks and elevational treatments for dwellings, in accordance with a design code set out by the Local Authority.

Much of the site fronted a pedestrian walkway running through the development, offering views of Lichfield Cathedral. The dwellings were designed to allow vehicular access from the rear, while maintaining principal elevations onto the pedestrian-accessed frontage.

The focal point of the scheme was occupied by a bespoke four-storey apartment block and three-storey townhouses, all designed with parapet walls and box gutters, forming a distinctive central feature. The finished phase integrates seamlessly into the overall development.
